La Fabriek, a cultural venue in Brussels known for its evolving and forward-thinking programming, has trusted Aku Soundsystem to think about a new permanent Funktion-One installation. The project marks an important step in the venue’s development, reinforcing sound as a central element of the experience.
Working closely with the team at La Fabriek, Aku Soundsystem designed a custom Funktion-One sound system tailored to the space and its diverse uses. The objective was to create a system capable of delivering clarity, power and musical depth, while remaining flexible enough to support a wide range of events and formats.
Aku installed four Funktion-One Res2 with two F221 subs as its main system, and a pair of F1201 for monitoring. It allows La Fabriek to expand its sonic possibilities, offering an immersive and consistent listening experience throughout the venue. Particular attention was given to balance and definition, ensuring that the system responds naturally to both electronic music and live performances.
This project reflects a shared vision between La Fabriek and Aku Soundsystem: investing in long-term sound quality, and building systems that support artistic expression, community and longevity.
