Aku Soundsystem has recently completed a long-term sound system installation at Traum, one of Antwerp’s most distinctive electronic music venues. Housed inside a former 16th-century church, Traum is a place where architecture, history and contemporary club culture meet and where sound plays a central role in shaping the experience.
For this project, Aku Soundsystem designed and installed a custom Funktion-One sound system, built around the specific acoustics and energy of the space. A system that supports long nights on the dancefloor while remaining precise and immersive.
The goal was not only power, but definition, depth and musicality.
The installation features a cardioid bass configuration using BR118 subwoofers, delivering tight, focused low frequencies, combined with a four-point Evolution X setup to ensure even coverage and clarity throughout the room. Every element was positioned and tuned to let the system breathe and respond naturally to the music.
